Michael has been a permanent resident of Los Banos and is a Los Banos High Alumni. He is a local business owner of Mello's Harobed Service for the Ag community. He started working with the Chamber in 2013 as event setup aide. He has always been there to help set up difficult structures for events, gatherings, and meetings. His company has also donated to the Chamber for numerous events. As a Chamber Ambassador Michael is often found helping out in the office with administrative duties, reaching out to new business to join the Chamber, preparing for monthly mixers, setting up our annual community attended events and organizing our advertising board in the Chamber office. Michael Mello was the winner of the 2016 Volunteer of the Year award and 2017 Friend of the Chamber award.
Lidia moved to Los Banos in 2006 and was introduced to the Los Banos Chamber of Commerce by her realtor Jeanette King, who was the Chamber President at the time. Lidia started working with the Chamber in 2011 with the Reader's Choice Awards. She joined the Chamber after a couple months as a Chamber volunteer and then joined the Chamber Ambassador program after winning the Volunteer of the Year in 2017. As an Ambassador she meets with new businesses and helps out with all Chamber events and functions. As well as always coming into the office for administrative help. Lidia has been a great asset for the Chamber in every way possible from helping us with Bilingual members, running the Beer booth for the Tomato Festival and check-in area for the Street Fairs.
Hello Los Banos!! My name is Shannon Zwilling and I am currently one of your ambassadors for the Los Banos Chamber of Commerce. I moved to Los Banos with my mom in 1995. I have been a volunteer for the last 7 years, but officially as an ambassador for the last 4. I've done the May Day Beer booth for the entire time I have been with The Chamber. I also volunteer for the Tomato Fest and Dads Night Out, the Fireworks Booth as well as an occasional Street Fair. I also bartend for the Mixers sometimes. Halloween 2016, we hosted a Halloween Costume Party at the DES Hall, hopefully we can do that again in the near future. I got into volunteering when a friend mentioned that the Chamber needed help May Day 2013 and I jumped at the chance. I had so much fun and I didnt want to stop. I continued to do what I could and when. If you know me, you know I talk a lot!! So for a chance to meet with the public during functions and interact with them, I just had to be involved. I love every minute I spend volunteering. I am currently working for the Los Banos Unified School district as a Paraprofessional for the LEAP Before and After School Program and have been there since 2014. I am overjoyed to be involved with the Chamber and cannot wait to see what the coming years bring our great town. I hope to see you all soon and meet you if I haven't already.
