Membership Categories |

| The Los Baños Chamber of Commerce has a diverse membership that includes a variety of business, service, charitable and individual memberships. The following information presents our current membership categories and briefly explains the benefits of each. Generally membership includes a listing in our member directories, both in print and online. All members receive our monthly newsletter, personal referral service and are able to take part in mixers and other chamber events. | |||

Associate Memberships |

Associate memberships include
the following: Residential Associates
include any individual that elects to support the chamber and take part
in chamber activities. A subscription to our newsletter is included and
members are listed in the Associates category on our web site and in
printed publications. Dues for this category are based on the Level 1
dues structure below. Organizational and
non-profit entities make up this category. In addition to the
newsletter, listings and participation in events, non-profits are
allowed one free insert (8½ x 11") in our newsletter each year.
Dues for this category are based on the Level 2 dues structure below. Real Estate Associates must
be employed by a member brokerage. Although termed an associate
membership agents are listed in their own business category in print and
online. Benefits include the newsletter, participation in events and in
print and online listing. This is a dues Level 1 membership. |

Business Memberships |

Business memberships: The chamber uses a fair share formula based on the number of employees reported. Membership includes the newsletter, referral service, print and online listing by business category, participation in events and special notification of upcoming events, workshops, seminars and labor law updates. Communication with members may be accomplished by mail, email (preferred) or fax. Dues amounts vary and are found in dues Levels 3 through 8. Dues Levels 7 & 8 includes two business category listings. A second or subsequent listing for smaller businesses is available for $10.00 per year.
We offer a special start-up or home business rate of $80.00 to
qualifying small businesses. Since our membership dues are based on
fairness to existing members, when considering an application for this
category we take into account the following factors: Is this a full time
business? Does the operation compete with existing members? Are there
employees? In
most cases business members must hold a valid Business License for the
City of Los Banos and/or a Merced County Business License if the trade
or business is located outside the City limits. |

Special Categories |
|||
Certain business types are exempted from the fair share formula. The
chamber's Board of Directors have approved the following business
categories as exempt and set the dues rate. Banks, Saving
& Loans - Dues Level 8 Utility Companies
