Thanks for your interest in the
Los Baņos Chamber of Commerce.
We have been of service
to the City of Los Baņos and the surrounding areas since the late 1800's
and were incorporated as a business association in 1930.
The chamber is governed by an all-volunteer board of
directors and the day-to-day business conducted by an Executive Director
who is employed by the board.
The chamber of commerce is basically a business association
and, as part of our mission, we conduct several community wide events to
help improve the quality of life that Los Baņos offers.
The chamber holds monthly mixers at various businesses in
the community as well as periodic luncheons and workshops during the
year. We sell the required employment posters produced by the California
Chamber of Commerce so our members will be in compliance with federal
and State labor laws.
The chamber office is a ready source for community
information and makes referrals to it's member businesses through-out
the year. The chamber also produces a monthly newsletter and operates
this website as a means of passing information about the City and area
to visitors.
We work closely with various departments of our City and
Merced County to be certain that issues concerning business and commerce
are discussed and business points of view are considered.
Joining the chamber is one of the first steps that new
businesses should consider when seeking to establish in Los Baņos.
