Held once a month, Chamber Mixers provide the host an opportunity to showcase their business and Chamber members an hour and a half of power networking to stay in tune with the business community. These informal events are held at different businesses around Los Banos from 5:30 – 7pm on a Thursday evening, typically the 4th Thursday of the month.
Chamber Mixers are low key, fun, friendly and full of good food! Mixers feature appetizers and refreshments and give all attendees an opportunity to get acquainted and exchange business cards, leads and referrals in a relaxed atmosphere.

Hosts are encouraged to use the event as an open house, inviting their customers and friends whether or not they are Chamber members. The host provides a welcoming statement and collects door prizes for a business card drawing. Guests are encouraged to bring a raffle item and plenty of business cards.
Mixer photos are posted on the Chambers Facebook page, thereby providing even more networking opportunities.
There is no cost to attend a Chamber Mixer. Building relationships and making business connections at these networking events are key strategies for small business success. People like to do business with people they know. Come get acquainted at the next Chamber Mixer!
A typical Mixer schedule allows for networking/mingling from 5:30 to 6pm. The first half hour allows for “regular” Mixer goers to visit/network and new Mixer goers to get comfortable. Introduction of host, attendees and announcements is from 6:00 to 6:10 or thereabouts. Once everyone has been introduced we network for another half hour. About 6:40 we hold the business card raffle drawing, followed by the 50/50 raffle. The 50/50 raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5.00. The winner of the 50/50 gets 50% of the money raised by the sale of the tickets, the other 50% goes to the Chamber of Commerce. We wrap up the Mixer with “The All Member Must Be Present To Win” drawing. Each member in good standing is automatically entered in this drawing, the host draws a slip of paper … if your name is on the paper and you’re present, you win. In October 2012 the “All Member Must Be Present To Win” drawing was be $590. The drawing goes up $10/month if the winner isn’t present when their name is drawn.
